Privacy Policy

IC Parts Hub is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

When you submit a Request for Quote (RFQ) through our website, we collect the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Company name (optional)
  • Part numbers, quantities, and related sourcing details
  • Uploaded BOM files (if provided)

We do not require account creation. When you browse the site, our analytics and advertising tools also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. We also record how you interact with our pages — clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement — see Session Recording below. These tools set cookies — see Analytics and Advertising below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your RFQ, communicate pricing and availability, and fulfill sourcing requests. We never sell or rent your personal information.

We share a hashed, irreversible version of your email address with Google so we can measure which of our ads lead to quote requests, and we share browsing-behaviour data with Microsoft Clarity so we can understand how our pages are used. Both are described in full below. We never sell your information, and we do not share your name, phone number, company, part numbers, or uploaded files with any advertising or analytics service.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate our website:

  • Supabase — database hosting and file storage (BOM uploads)
  • Resend — email delivery for RFQ notifications to our team
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Google Tag Manager — manages the analytics and advertising tags below
  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics
  • Google Ads — advertising and conversion measurement
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps, to understand how visitors use our pages

Analytics and Advertising

We advertise on Google Search, and we measure which ads result in quote requests so we can spend our advertising budget sensibly. Google Analytics and Google Ads both set cookies on your device to do this.

When you submit an RFQ, Google's tag converts your email address into a SHA-256 hash — a one-way scramble that cannot be reversed back into your address — and sends that hash to Google. Google compares it against its own records to determine whether your quote request followed one of our ads. Google calls this feature Enhanced Conversions. Your email address itself is not transmitted to Google, and we do not use it to target advertising at you.

You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and you can manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings. Blocking cookies in your browser will also prevent this collection.

Session Recording

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity records your interactions with our pages — the pages you visit, where you click, how far you scroll, and how your mouse moves — and reconstructs them as a replayable session that we review to find and fix confusing or broken parts of the site. It also produces aggregate heatmaps showing where visitors click and scroll.

What is not recorded: Clarity masks the contents of all form fields and dropdown menus before anything leaves your browser. Anything you type into a quote request — your name, email address, phone number, company, part numbers, or notes — is never captured in a recording and is never transmitted to Microsoft. Clarity also masks email addresses and numbers appearing in ordinary page text.

Clarity is a Microsoft service, and the data it collects is processed by Microsoft under its own privacy statement. Blocking cookies or using your browser's Do Not Track setting will prevent this collection.

Data Retention

RFQ submissions and associated data are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill your request and maintain records for business purposes. Uploaded BOM files are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
